Please note, if you are needing FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER supplied due to an earlier start this year, you will need to choose this option in your ticket purchasing on the very first page. If you do not click with dinner Friday night you will not be able to have a catered meal at the retreat. Catering is per head.
You can choose to bring your own, buy on the way out or eat with us. but is is absolutely important to make your choice with purchasing tickets.
I can not add you in for dinner at a later date. Thank you for your understanding with Friday night dinner, it is on trial this year and not been available in previous years.

Val Laird is a well-known Australian designer whose beautiful projects have regularly appeared in leading Australian craft magazines. Val loves to design pretty and practical projects. Her talent and passion for stitching can be seen in her gorgeous sewing accessories, wall-hangings, bags and quilts. Val loves to share her wide experience in craft and has taught at craft retreats and workshops in South Australia and Queensland. Her designs may be viewed at

As well as silversmithing and many other crafts, I enjoy doing beading projects. There are many beautiful crystal, gemstone and glass beads available and I like to use these to create all styles of beadwork. Beaded chains are a favourite but I enjoy all types of jewellery-making! I also run my own jewellery, beading and craft supply business called Chain Reaction. I enjoy being involved in the Papercraft and Art industry and have learned many techniques.
I design, create and teach craft workshops in the Toowoomba and Darling Downs area, including card making, scrapbooking, mixed media and art journal workshops.
But above all, I hope you enjoy your creative time away from your usual weekend duties and have a most wonderful time with us at this years Creative Craft Retreat!
