2015 Craft Retreat Dates and Location

Craft Retreat 2015 was a little up in the air late last year, however, we are pleased to announce that we will be running Creative Craft Retreat once again!

We have booked and confirmed the dates - it will be held from Friday evening, 30 October to Sunday afternoon, 1 November 2015.

We are also glad to say that we will be holding it at Lake Perseverance, near Crows Nest in Queensland, once again, and as a result, the fees will be similar to last year.

So, pop the dates in your diary, and tell your friends about it too.  Keep updated with more information as it becomes available by entering your email address in the 'follow by email' spot in the sidebar, and you can check us out on Facebook too.

Registrations for 2014 Craft Retreat Extended!

That's right, we have decided to extend the date for registrations by ten days.  Registrations now close on the 17th October, 2014.  You have ten more days to work out which class you would like to take (or do your own thing), or who is going to look after you children or pets while you are away!  Don't take too long to decide though, because some classes are filling up.

Craft Retreat 2014

We are currently getting organised for the 2014 Craft Retreat, that will be held again at the beautiful Lake Perseverance Recreation Centre, near Crows Nest in Queensland.  Don't forget to pop the date in your diary, 7-9 November 2014, and keep that weekend free!

You will be able to register and pay online, although if you are unable to do that, you will be able to organise to pay via the church office (see the link in the sidebar).  

Registrations will open mid to late August, and in the meantime, you can keep up with the latest by 'subscribing' to or 'following' these posts or blog, or 'liking' us on Facebook.  Check out the sidebar to find the option that suits you best.

A few days left!

There are only a few days left until craft retreat!  Are you excited?!

If you have registered, you will have received an email from us by now, with all the information you require as well as your class details.

Today is the last day to register your spot in the craft stall if you want to sell anything.  There are always lots of lovely crafty goodies for sale, so don't forget to bring your spending money!

Have you got your craft all packed and ready to go?

And dare I ask, have you got your name tag ready?  You can make a special one, or write your name on piece of card and pin it to your shirt!  It's always interesting to see all the different ones that people have.

I know about 30 of you have, but I have a feeling some of you haven't quite gotten around to it yet. (I know... it has been school holidays so life is not quite in the usual routine... Same here!)

Craft Retreat 2013 Update

Registrations will once again be done online, making it easier for most of us!  This year we will not be putting out a paper brochure like we have done in the past, which will help to keep our costs down.

Not Long Now!

There is lots happening behind the scenes in preparation for the Creative Craft Retreat... which is now less than a week away!  Are you ready??  Have you got your name tag ready?  Things to sell?  Bags packed?  Craft requirements bought... or found?!

With 68 of us coming, there will be lots of chatter, laughter, fun and craft!  Looking forward to seeing you all on Friday!

Registration Closing Date Extended!

Excitement for craft retreat has been building as registrations have been flowing in via our online booking system.  Lots of ladies have registered, and we are looking forward to a great weekend away.

This year, we are able to offer an extension on our closing date for bookings, and so if you missed out on registering this week, you still have another week up your sleeve!

Registrations will now close on 28 September!

If you know of anyone who was thinking about registering and hadn't quite got things together in time, please let them know there are still openings for craft retreat.

Confirmation letters will start going out next week, so keep an eye out for an email with all the details, which will include new arrangements for the craft stall this year.

Coming Soon

The 2012 Craft Retreat plans are well under way.  Once again it will be held at Lake Perseverance Recreation Centre, north of Toowoomba, on the 2-4 November 2012. Registration forms will be out shortly (hopefully in the next week!), and you will able to register online this year!

We once again have a great line up of teachers, but if you are itching for a weekend away so that you can work on your own craft, you will have that choice too.

Tonya from The Crafty Mummy, Val from Val Laird Designs, Liz from Scrap n Patch, Jade from Jade Lee Designs are four of our teachers representing quilting, embroidery, scrapbooking and knitting.  We also have one more teacher up our sleeve... but you will have to wait and see who that is!

2011 Craft Retreat Photos

We had a wonderful time at the 2011 Creative Craft Retreat... I hope you did!  I have just finished uploading the photos, in record time (for me)!  I hope you enjoy the slideshow.  There were many more photos taken but I had to put a limit somewhere!

The next retreat will be the 2-4 November 2012, and plans are already well underway.  It seems that we have a speaker lined up, think spot person, most teachers and an on-line registration and payment facility.  Can you wait that long... a whole year?!

14 Days to Go!

Yes, it is only two weeks to craft retreat - sounds better than 14 days don't you think!  Registrations are closed and you should have your confirmation letter and requirements lists by now, so if you haven't, you'd better let me know ASAP! If you need transport, the details will be arranged next week.

Are you excited yet? Have you got all your supplies ready? I'm still deciding on what "Do Your Own Thing" craft/art I will be taking, and I will probably decide in two weeks time as I have so much to do and think about before then!  Don't forget to bring your name tag along.  If you don't have one, just a piece of cardboard with your name on will do! If you are feeling creative you might like to make something a little more interesting! 

Maybe you've been busy making things for the craft stall or have found some no longer needed craft supplies or craft magazines to sell. Or maybe you're saving your pennies so you can spend it on some lovely crafty goodies!  There is always an amazing array of things to choose from.

Well, time is ticking on, so I'd better get back to my big list of things to do! See you soon!

Registrations Close This Friday (7th October)

Doesn't time fly?!  It is already October which means registrations close for the Craft Retreat this Friday, the 7th October. If you don't want to miss out on a wonderful weekend away, this week is your last chance to fill out a registration form and pop it in the post.  Some classes are proving popular, so you will need to be quick to ensure you get your first choice.

If you have already registered, I plan on emailing confirmation letters and class requirements lists this week, so be sure to check your email inbox! There is lots of information in the letter, so it should answer most, or all of the questions you may have!

Don't forget to print out a form and fill it in, and send it off in the post quickly so you don't miss out! Tell your friends about it too... the more the merrier! I hope to see you at the retreat!

2011 Craft Retreat Teachers

While you are waiting for registration forms to come out (next week, I hope!), I thought you would like to know who our teachers will be this year. If you have been to previous retreats, you will recognise most of the names:

Of course, you can bring your own craft project to do (or reading, or whatever else you might want to do!) and enjoy a relaxing weekend away. Make sure you tell your friends and family about it - it's a great, affordable retreat and caters for those who are on a budget... and those who aren't! You will find photos of previous years in the photo tab to give you an idea of what we get up to!

You can also start making goodies to sell at the craft stall if you are that way inclined and if you want to be really organised, you could start thinking about your name tag - whether you make a fancy one or whether you will just right your name on a piece of paper! It's up to you.

You may have noticed a few changes here at the Creative Craft Retreat blog. Do you like the green for this year?

For a start, I'm not Janelle! I'm Tonya and I'm a friend of Janelle's who is helping out a little here in the Blogosphere. I usually blog over at the The Crafty Mummy. Nice to meet you!
